Sometimes good things come in bunches, and this is no exception for Dr. Bretsky who recently received two prestigious acknowledgments from his peers.
For yet another year, Dr. Bretsky has been recognized as a Super Doctor (www.superdoctors.com). The selection process for Super Doctors is a rigorous multi-step process designed to identify physicians who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made by other physicians who are asked the following question: “If you needed medical care, which doctor would you choose?”
In addition, this year Dr. Bretsky earned an American College of Physicians Fellowship (FACP). This is a distinction earned from colleagues who recognize Dr. Bretsky for his accomplishments and achievements over and above the practice of medicine. The most important considerations for an ACP Fellowship is a physician’s excellence and contributions made to both medicine and the broader community.
According to the American College of Physicians, “Fellowship in the ACP means that as a patient, you have confidence in your doctor. Through continual self-improvement and study, he or she adds to the knowledge and skills needed to deliver appropriate care for you medical needs, whether directly to you or with other specialties.”
